To apply, please fill in the application form at the latest on Monday, 20 April 2009. Please make sure that we have received a signed letter of recommendation also Monday, 20 April 2009.

Letter of Recommendation:

Please ask the person who writes the letter of recommendation to send it as an attached PDF document to the address bleess@upf.edu, with the following subject:

BLEESS-M-2009-Letter-Refnumber where Refnumber is the application reference number that you received in the application form confirmation email. Alternatively, your first and lastname can be used instead (i.e. in case you don't have access to the confirmation email and reference number).

Please contact us at bleess@upf.edu for another way for sending us the letter, such as ordinary mail or fax, but we strongly encourage to use the e-mail and PDF option to speed up the process.

We plan to inform you about your acceptance status by email on Monday, 27 April 2009.

Registration

Students who have been accepted for the school in the first round have three options:

• Students who still plan to participate must register between Monday, 27 April 2009 and Friday, 8 May 2009. Together with the registration a registration fee of 200 Euro (or 270 US-Dollar, might need adjustment) has to be paid to the account see below. Check also the Accomodation page for further details.
  
  
• Students who no longer plan to participate should inform us as soon as possible, in any case before Friday, 8 May 2009, to give us a chance to contact students from the waiting list.
  
  
• Students who have been accepted for the school in the first round and who neither register nor withdraw their application until Friday, 8 May 2009 will be replaced with applicants from the waiting list.

1. Order a money transfer of 200 Euro (US $270, might need readjustment) registration fee to the account:

No later than May 8, 2009.

2. Please, specify in the subject of your payment BLEESSM followed by your first and last name (for example, BLEESSM_Maria_Smith) AND accompany your transfer by a message to bleess@upf.edu.

We will not be able to refund the registration fee in case you decide to cancel after May 8, 2009.

Once you receive confirmation that you have been accepted to summer school BLEESS-M-2009 we recommend to you to make hotel reservations as soon as possible. We will try to help you to coordinate in order to share double rooms (see also Accomodation).
